Sarah's Circle, LLC, was established in 1999 to provide individual and group psychotherapy and spirituality groups.  The therapy practice was closed in 2004 due to C. Lynn's decision to focus on issues of spirituality including completing her book and conducting educational trainings. 

 The name, Sarah's Circle, is from a concept introduced by Dr. Matthew Fox.  His premise is that instead of climbing Jacob's Ladder which is patriarchial, hierarchial, and dysfunctional, we learn to dance Sarah's Circle which is (w)holistic, interdependent, nurturing, and embraces the Divine Feminine.

Who We Are

C. Lynn (Carol) Anderson, D.Min, ACSW, completed her doctoral program at the University of Creation Spirituality, where she studied with some of the foremost scholars in the fields of religion and spirituality.  She has also been educated and trained in the fields of social work and education.  She is a popular trainer known for her engaging, humorous style and has been called an "irreverent mystic." 

Dr. Anderson is a clinical social worker on an inpatient psychiatric unit, a clinical supervisor at a substance abuse facility, and teaches social work courses at 2 Michigan universities.

No stranger to controversy, she is also a political activist regarding GLBT issues, and has spoken before national, state, and local press regarding local politics.

C. Lynn grew up surrounded by the corn fields of northern Indiana where she spent much of her childhood exploring the fields, swamp, and woods that encompassed the family home.  Vacationing in northern Michigan since infancy, she recognized that this area was her spiritual home with its blessings of lakes, sun, sand, and pine trees, and moved to the area in 1991.

Murphy Anderson is the beloved cat who rules the roost in the Anderson household.  Murphy was adopted from the local Humane Society and believes everyone should adopt a cat. She frequently helps Carol write by sitting on the legal pad and batting at the pen. Murphy also enjoys eating and sleeping and having a bit of catnip.  She can be reached at: murphy@sarahscircle.com.
